Concord Country Club
Concord, MA
The Concord Country Club began construction of their Turf Care Center in September of 2011 and the facility was operational in May of 2012. GSA provided Superintendent Peter J. Rappoccio with Design Services and monitoring of the project during construction. GSA worked closely with construction manager New England Construction to take the design to completed construction.
The Turf Care Maintenance Facility is a two story steel framed, metal roofed and sided structure with a 42” high decorative masonry base. The lower level is made up of a two bay equipment maintenance area accessible by 14’ and 16’ overhead doors. Off the maintenance area is a parts room with mechanic’s office and a grinding room. The center section of the lower level is an equipment storage area. The south end of the lower level houses the administration area, break room and employee lockers and restrooms. The second level contains additional equipment storage, a carpentry room and light storage. Located on the south end of the upper level is an intern housing facility with a common area and housing for up to 5 persons.
The Environmental Management Center is designed by GSA to hold a fueling station, washdown area, chemical storage, fertilizer storage, pre-mix and chemical mix and load operations. Waste water from wash down operations and any spills from fueling or mix and load processes are contained, treated and recycled through a Carbtrol Treatment System. Any accidental chemical or fertilizer spills can be recovered, treated and recycled thru the Carbtrol system or pumped into a storage tank for field application at a later time. This is a Zero Discharge Building, all waste water and any chemical spills are contained and treated within the building! The mix & load area also features wall mounted hose reels and a chemical pre-mix system.
Bulk materials are stored in a 5 bay concrete block structure allowing each material to be easily accessed and stored separately with no chance of cross contamination.
